Figma's PDF export follows the layer list, not your intent. Draw the path instead — the line is the order, and the numbers on the canvas show it before you commit.
Links that click
Prototype actions get dropped in a normal export and internal jumps point back at figma.com. Path2PDF writes the PDF link annotations itself, so a table of contents actually jumps.

Can Figma export multiple frames as one PDF?
Not on its own. Figma can export a page to PDF, but you don't get to choose the order — it follows the layer list. That's why so many people rename every frame with a number, export them one by one and merge them in Acrobat. Path2PDF is the shortcut: draw a line across the canvas and the frames you cross are merged into one PDF in exactly that order.
Is it possible to add page numbers to a Figma PDF export?
Yes. Paste the placeholder {{page}} as text wherever the number belongs, on every page. Path2PDF replaces it with the running number on export and writes the original text straight back immediately after, so nothing in your Figma file changes. {{page}} / {{pages}} gives a "10 / 73" style counter.
Do links and prototype connections survive a Figma PDF export?
Not reliably with Figma's own export. Prototype actions are dropped, internal jumps point at figma.com instead of the page in your PDF, and text hyperlinks can arrive with black boxes drawn around them. Path2PDF throws Figma's annotations away and writes its own, from three sources: text hyperlinks, prototype "Open link" actions, and "Navigate to" jumps between frames — so a table of contents actually jumps to the right page.
How do I merge Figma frames into one PDF in a specific order?
Open Path2PDF on the page you want to export and drag a line across the frames in the sequence you want. Each frame you cross gets the next number. Hold ⌘ to remove one from the sequence, then hit export — one PDF, your order.
Does Path2PDF change my Figma file?
No. The page number placeholder is swapped in only for the moment of the export and restored right after, even if something fails in between. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, no account needed.
Does the text in the exported PDF stay selectable and searchable?
Yes. The pages come from Figma's own vector PDF export, so text remains text — searchable and selectable, not a flattened image.
Is Path2PDF free?
Yes, Path2PDF is free on the Figma Community, with no account and no watermark on the exported file.
